The AD Concert band is a community based Wind Band with over sixty members, from teenagers to octogenarians, who range from enthusiastic amateurs to graduate standard players. Our aim is to provide an opportunity for musicians for all ages to make music together and to bring the enjoyment of wind band music to a wide range of audiences.
The Band is based in Solihull, West Midlands, where it rehearses once a week. We perform a wide variety of concerts throughout the year, including formal evening concerts, village fetes and park bandstands, as well as joining forces with other bands and choirs for specific events.
In 2009 the band recorded it's first CD, entitled In Celebration. The Celebration is of the band's thirty-three years of music making and the 100th birthday of the late Vi Doyle, the widow of the band's founder.
The CD contains some of the Band's favourite repertoire and also pieces which have proved popular with our audiences -
